CPD Courses, that are linked to a training package outcome and completed via correspondence, are considered full time or blended courses. You will need to complete approximately between 265hrs and 565hrs of private study, assignment preparation, work experience and research to complete a course. This works out to be for;
- Full-time study at 26 weeks, using 22 hours per week as a measure of full time (10 to 12 months maximum)
- Part time study at 52 weeks, using 11 hours per week as a measure of part time (4 to 6 months maximum).
All final work for marking must be submitted, no later than 2 weeks prior to the allocated CPD period ending. Industry Training Consultants reserves the right to reject any module submission after this time.
Industry Training Consultants also reserves the right to reject any module submission after this time, if a student is currently finishing their Certificate IV qualification, that is required for the issue of a Class 2 Agent licence.

The new CPD year will start on 1 July 2025 and will end on 30 June 2026
2025/2026 CPD requirements
Training delivery requirements have changed for 2025/2026 CPD year,
Class 1 and Class 2 licence holders must complete their CPD training in either:
- an in-person classroom session delivered by a trainer, with a maximum of 40 participants, or
- an online interactive webinar session, delivered by a trainer, with a maximum of 25 participants.

To minimise disruption to real estate agencies, Industry Training Consultants will deliver the following CPD topics in a combined session for residential real estate salespeople, buyers’ agents and residential property managers:

*By following this program, you are only required to complete the additional compulsory topic Residential Tenancy Reform (3 hours face-to-face), and if you hold a Class 1 licence, you must also attend a NSW Fair Trading accredited event for a minimum of five hours.
Assistant Agents
Certificate of registration holders as an assistant real estate agent must complete at least 3 units each CPD year from a valid Certificate IV qualification that is required for the issue of a Class 2 Agent licence in Real Estate (with or without restrictions).
